Bonecrusher Baseball Begins with a Tournament

Colwich, Kansas a small town with not a lot of excitement, however, today it was a town filled with Bonecrusher Baseball players, their fans, and one extremely proud Momma. You see, my Caden played in his first kid pitch game of the year today and even though we lost and didn't do so well in the tournament, I couldn't be more proud. I couldn't be more proud of the boy that stood on the mound in the first inning of the season as he faced the first 3 batters and sent them all back to the dug out. I couldn't be more proud of the boy that squatted behind the plate catching and stopping ball after ball and taking a bat to the shoulder. I couldn't be more proud of the boy that stood at the plate with his bat and body in perfect stance and swinging with all of his might, connecting and running his heart out.

I couldn't be more proud!

Right down the middle.........STRIKE

You are amazing!

Swing with all your might!

Sometimes you need a little help from your buddy
Sometimes that buddy knows you need a little help carrying your equipment.
Like Father Like Son
Your Courage is Fear that has said it's prayers!
I COULDN'T BE MORE PROUD!
I'm convinced that every boy, in his heart, would rather steal second base than an automobile.

The father of our wonderful children, but more importantly...

the husband of a very controlling, house cleaning, baking maniac, project starting, mess making, obsessive compulsive disorder and sometimes very rude and hateful wife.

You see I am married to ONE of the GREATEST men on the planet (there are only 2 of them, one being my Dad and the other being Phil). I am most days, bagging on him because he leaves dishes in the sink, cups all over the kitchen, crap all over the table, and never cleans like I would do it or as fast as I want him too and he sometimes YELLS at my babies more or louder than I would like him too. But in all honestly, I am married to a man who does laundry, mops my kitchen and bathroom floors, cleans toilets, unloads the dishwasher, takes out the trash, helps me with my little side business and that is just the stuff he does for me. For our children, he plays catch with all of their friends, is a baseball coach, builds things, fixes broken bicycles, manages to find time to play with them separately and gives them baths at the end of the day among the many other things to numerous to mention. As for taking care of his family, he works full time as an administrator, works part time in the evenings as a College Professor teaching classes that I couldn't even begin to comprehend, all so I can stay home and be the mother of our children.

He really is an amazing man of character (even though he gets a little loud at our sons sporting events), he is a man with great amounts of pride, he is a man who loves his children, he is a man who loves and forgives his wife even when sometimes he would rather not. He is my husband and I love him with my entire being.

Phil,

I know I don't tell you often enough how much you mean to me. I know that sometimes I am not the most pleasant person to be around and you always seem to overlook it and realize that I am who I am and no one will ever change that or take that out of me. I am so glad that you decided to stick around to see where the road would take us when everything seemed to be scary and overwhelming nearly 8 years ago. I love you more today than the day that I married you and I wouldn't trade this adventure for anything in the world. Thanks for being my husband and for being the wonderful father that you are. I look around and I know how truly blessed I am.

Always, forever and no matter what,

Tras

If I know what love is, it's because of you.

From this...

TO THIS...

in 4 short months. Yesterday Ellee (Bean) Rae turned 4 months old and is adjusting very well in a home with 2 brothers. If she could talk, I think she would tell you that she has them wrapped around each of her little fingers and she has her Daddy wrapped around all of them.

She went in for her well check today and we found out that she is a healthy and thriving 4 month old who is right on target and where she needs to be. As her Mommy, I say she is perfect in every way!!!

Ellee's Stats:
Weight 15 lbs 12 oz
Height: 25 1/2"
Head: 16 1/2"
What she can do at 4 months
Laugh
Coos a lot
Rolls from back to tummy
Takes great afternoon naps in her big girl crib
Knows that if she cries, someone is going to come running.
Ellee,
You are amazing and I didn't know that this family was missing a thing, until you came a long and then I realized we were missing so very much. I thank God for you and He knew that if He was going to show us what we were missing, then He was going to have to give us the best. That is exactly what he gave us. God knows what we can handle and what we can't. I'm pretty sure He thought you had to be pretty low maintance because YOUR Caden is pretty high maintance, requires a lot of attention and needs to be on the go all of the time. We love you and are so glad that God called on us when he created you.
All my love and then some,
Mommy

Is Kindergarten REALLY ready for Reece?

Is Reece really ready for Kindergarten? Either way I guess it is going to happen so I guess we better be prepared.

We went to Kindergarten round up today so Reece could learn the ropes and Mommy could gather all of the information necessary to prepare him for school and sign him over so they could declare him a genius in 13 years (something I already know).

I show up, go and get him from his Pre-K class and to the commons we go. He is very excited about this until the part where they tell him that someone else will take him to the Kindergarten room. By this point he is done and not having any part of it unless, I go with him. I take him to his Kindergarten room where poor Mrs. Fager is happily (or at least pretending) waiting for another BRESSLER boy to grace her room with his presence. He is very nervous and not at all sure that he wanted to be there. I tell him that I will be back to get him when I am done with my part and he hangs on a little tighter. Mrs. Fager, being the super trooper that she is gives it a good shot at trying to distract him with her butterfly experiment that didn't appear to go to well, if you know what I mean. He wasn't all that impressed because they did that in pre-k, so she broke out the next big thing... talking about fishing. I managed to sneak out and off to my meeting I went. Walked back into the commons where they (Mrs. Yorgenson the Principal, Mrs. Ferris, the secretary, and Mrs. Davis, the school nurse) were all very proud of me for not crying on this very big day in the life of one of my children. I guess they all know me a little too well. They know that leaving my children is not an easy thing for me to do and letting them grow up is even tougher.

So we learned what they needed to know, we learned how the bus was going to work, we learned about the shots they were going to need and we learned that Oatville is a fabulous place for our children to go to school. Of course, we all already knew that Oatville is a fabulous place for our kids to go or we wouldn't be sending them there, right? OK, I wouldn't be sending my child there if it wasn't fabulous!

I went back in to pick up Reece and he appeared to have had a great time. We walked out, I asked him how it was and he politely told me he thought he would just stay in Pre-K and that kindergarten wasn't going to be any fun. So for now I guess we will float through the summer, work on all that we need to work on and see how it goes on the first REAL day of Kindergarten in August. Poor Mrs. Fager!!!!

Does this look like a face that isn't ready for Kindergarten?
