Fabulous Fall Fun

I have decided that when you move there is a year of all things new.  Some of these new things are fun and some of them hard but when you are a Bressler it just has become a part of our every day.

It has been fun to be close enough to some family that we can see them on occassion and we get to do fun things like go to the Pumpkin Patch together (Kasie, you can thank me later for not posting pictures of us doing the Pumpkinapolis 500).

Halloween was a little more difficult because there was no Trick or Treat Street in Paola and no Aunt Janet to visit and eat Bat Wings with when we got tired of walking around looking at all things haunted.  We also learned that Trick or Treating was different because for as long as I can remember we Trick or Treated with our friends the Kopycinski's and we realized just how much we missed them.

I tried really hard to lighten the change of Halloween up for my kids and decided we would start a new tradition in the neighborhood where we live.  We made halloween treats and BOO'd some of our neighbors.  My kids thought it was a fabulous idea until they put the stuff on the door step, rang the doorbell and ran for their lives.  At this point they thought it was the so rude to ding dong ditch your neighbors and went to school and told their friends it was us that did it.  It took the wind right out of my sail, until I saw that it had caught on and other neighbors were being boo'd too all because we did something new and fun.

One of our greatest memories of this fall had to be a visit to the Great Wolf Lodge with our friends from Wichita.  It was a surprise that I had to keep quiet until we pulled into the parking lot and that isn't easy for a Mama who had her good friend show up at the same restraunt we did to eat lunch before taking our kids to spend a couple of days together.

It's always a good time when friends from where we came from show up, but it is always hard to see them leave and to say our see ya laters.

So with one more season of new adventures out of the way we are now ready for Christmas and all of the new that comes with that.
