Proof Girls Don't have Cooties
OK! So maybe cool is stretching it a little bit too far, but it is proof that he did actually square dance at the Oatville Elementary Chuckwagon Supper.

Americans or Squirrels?
He asks questions and when they get questions right he increases fake money amounts and if they get 3 strikes he tells them they have to get out and walk. They don't know if he is serious or not so Reece always has to ask, "Mom will Dad really make us get out and walk?" I just laugh and say of course not. If I am riding in the car then they get to use me for help and sometimes I know the answers and sometimes I don't and sometimes I give them the right answer and they think I'm wrong and go with their own answer. So it's kind of fun and it makes for lots of laughs!
So the other day we are playing Cash Tahoe and Phil asks the question "If you were born in Japan you would be Japanese so what are you if you are born in America? Without any hesitation at all, Reece blurts out SQUIRREL! We all busted into laughter and Phil and I were still laughing about it way into the night when we were talking about the kids.
I love life according to Reece!!

How do you know?
You see I have this son who loves sports and his basketball team fell apart this year. How do I know that we did the right thing by putting him on a team that we knew nothing about? We don't know the coaches, we only know one other player, and once again I see frustration all over his face when he is out there. How do I keep him from being discouraged? How do I keep him from frustration? How do I teach him to stop being so hard on himself?
How do you know that as a parent you are doing the right things with your children?
You see I have this son who is 5 and is having a hard time figuring out where he belongs. He wants to play sports until it comes down to signing up. He wants to get involved in things but doesn't know what that is. How do I help him figure it out? How do I help him find things that he enjoys like his brother? How do I make him understand that he is just as special as Caden, even if he never decides to play sports? Reece is my kid that just entertains himself and plays for hours by himself and I sometimes wonder if he feels left out. How will all of this effect him? I've been asked several times if I worry about Reece and the answer is always yes. Yes! I do worry about him in so many ways it keeps me up at night.
How do you ever know that what you are doing for your children is what you are suppose to be doing?
You see I have 2 boys one totally different than the other. How do you know that you are doing both of them right? How do you know if in the end it's all gonna work out alright? How do you keep your heart from breaking every time you see theirs break? How do you make sure that they know that it's okay to be who they are and to be happy with that?
How do you know if you are doing the right thing?
Sometimes I wish parenthood came with an instruction manual because today, I feel like I am failing!!
