Games have been played...

and the trophies passed out. I am proud to say (because that is the kind of mom I am, one that is extremely proud) that Caden had an amazing summer of baseball and left the awards night with a 1st place trophy for 8U Machine Pitch and with a 1st place trophy for 10U Kid Pitch.

So while it has been a summer of baseball and we feel like our home is the yard, we wouldn't have done any of it differently and we couldn't be more proud of all that Caden accomplished this season in baseball. It's more than a trophy that sets in his room, it more than being able to say you are the champion of 2 divisions, it's about learning to play as a team, it's about fun, it's about working hard to accomplish many things, it's about taking critisizm with the praise, and the most important thing that it's about is...it's this 7 year-old little boys world and as long as he is between the foul lines he feels at home and he's doing his thing.

Baseball season still is not over for us and we are looking forward to the State tournament for the All-Star team that Caden also plays on and then 2 weeks after that it's onto the Midwest Regional tournament. So while league play has finished up our summer of baseball continues!

I've gotta say I couldn't agree more, especially when you are a baseball mom!
